Machampane Wilderness Camp Description
Situated in the Mozambique sector of the Great Limpopo National Park, the unfenced Machampane Wilderness Camp provides an opportunity to get to understand the "Wilderness of a bygone era". Guided wilderness walks are a feature at our intimate 10 bed en-suite luxury tented camp that overlooks the Machampane River. Nestled in a riverine area where bird and wildlife abound, you set out on foot on early morning and late afternoon game walks embracing the waterholes in this pristine wilderness area. Replete from a three course ‘bush cuisine’ dinner with its Mozambiquan flavours, the boma and its friendly fire beckon you to experience the tranquillity of the night sky and the sounds of the African bush.
AREA INFORMATION
Machampane Wilderness Camp is the only private concession in Parc Nacional do Limpopo (Limpopo National Park). The park is the Mozambique side of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park, with South Africa's Kruger Park being it's well-known neighbour.
