Anabel’s B&B is a in La Lucia, a 5 minute drive away from Umhlanga Rocks and the Gateway Mall. We are a 5-minute walk to the La Lucia Mall, where at the Engen Garage there is a “Quick Shop” which is a 24 hour Steers and Woolworths food shop. We are a home-style establishment where you can relax and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. We have 4 en-suite double units, three with the choice of Twi/ King-size beds,and one room has a double bed. All have sleeper couches, air-conditioning and kitchenettes, TV with M-Net Delicious Breakfasts (cooked or Continental) and are served on the patios, one at the back or in the thatched Lapa in the front. Both of these areas have a built-in braai. Self-catering is also an option.The cooking facilities, iconsist of double-door fridge/freezer, microwave, electric frying pan and hot plate etc.We have fax and wireless internet facilities. All rooms have a table and chair. Our colourful garden filled with flowers and birds plus a large sparkling pool. The electric gate offers secure parking, with one parking per unit. The La Lucia Mall, Library, Virgin Active Health Club and Tennis Club are a 5 minute walk away, so is the Glenashley Beach. The Umhlanga Rocks Beach and Hospital are a 5 minute drive. We are close to numerous restaurants and there is a Hairdresser and a Restaurant opposite. We have access to a qualified field guide who is able to take you for day trips to the 1,000 hills, croc farms, heritage sites nearby. Short stays to the Natal Game Parks of 2 to 3 days can also be organised.

La Lucia is part of the Borough of Umhlanga. It is 3 km south from the village of Umhlanga Rocks, and is on the coastline. It is 3 km from the Gateway Entertainment centre. We have our own shopping mall, the well known La Lucia Mall. Alongside this mall is the Virgin Active Health Club and a Tennis Club. The 3 km road up to Umhlanga Ridge is lined with business, La Lucia Office Park.

Take the N2 (either from the North or the South, and take the Umhlanga turnoff (M41). Travel down towards the sea. At the bottom you will veer off to the left, going around and then under the M41 till you reach the M4, going South towards Durban. Very shortly you will see the La Lucia Mall sign on the left. This also loops around, goes through a subway under the M4 and you will reach a T-Junction, with Armstrong Ave in front of you. Turn Left here, pass a circle, go through the traffic light and turn left at a second similar circle into Braemar Ave. We are the Second road to the RIGHT off Breamar ave, DAVALLEN AVE. Our house is no 35, facing the La Lucia Junior Primary School.
