Directions to Auberge Clermont from Cape Town International • Leave the airport via the airport approach road. At the sign for Somerset West turn left on to the N2. Continue in the direction of Somerset West. • Take exit 33 (Baden Powell Drive). This leads you to the R310 to Stellenbosch. Turn left on to the R 310. Continue Straight. You will Pass Spier Estate on your right. • At the T-Junction turn right towards Stellenbosch. There are traffic lights at the entrance to the Distell Winery (RHS). Go straight here. Also go straight at the traffic lights at the intersection of the R 310 and Dorp Street. You will then pass the station on LHS. After the station the R 310 merges with the R44 (Adam Tas). Turn left on to Adam Tas. Keep going straight over the next 2 sets of traffic lights. The next traffic lights are at the intersection of Adam Tas (R44) and Bird Street (R 304). Go Straight. • The road goes up a slight rise, at the next set of traffic lights turn right (sign reads “Franschhoek via Helshoogte pass.” • Do not turn off, continue over the pass and through the hamlets of Pniel. The road narrows considerably. After Pniel you will eventually end up at a T-Junction. • Turn right on to the R 45. Continue straight. The R 45 becomes the Franschhoek main road. • At the end of the main road you’ll come to a T-junction with the Huguenot Memorial in front of you (3 granite arches with a statue in front of them.)
