Bushwillow Lodge Description
Bushwillow Lodge is an upmarket, fully serviced bush lodge, situated near Hluhluwe in Kuleni Game Park: 170 hectares of indigenous sand forest. The ideal destination to explore and enjoy the Elephant Coast region of KwaZulu Natal, whether you are looking for beach or bush, both are near at hand. Bushwillow Lodge is a 3-hour drive North from the bustling city of Durban on the east coast of South Africa. Either cater for yourself in the lodge's fully equipped kitchen (perfect for small groups), or let us spoil you with lazy breakfasts and home cooked evening meals. Enjoy walks on the self-guided trails and experience the fascination of the smaller fauna and the likely encounters with zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, impala, kudu and nyala. Or, just relax at the lodge in peaceful surroundings and watch the game come to Bushwillow’s own small waterhole. The abundance of bird life, the variety of trees and other flora makes for a great bush experience but with the luxury and comforts of a 4-star graded lodge establishment. The main central lodge facility comprises an open plan, fully equipped stylish kitchen. The spacious and tastefully decorated lounge and dining area with foldaway glass doors, opens out onto the large deck area where you can cool off in the pool or lie on the sun loungers soaking in the warm African sunlight. In the evening, relax and unwind. Enjoy a sunset and the sounds of the evening in the bush on the expansive lodge decking. Situated on either side of the main central lodge are the beautifully appointed bedroom units which are just a short walk away across wooden walkways, which also provide a convenient platform from which to view bird life and small game that may venture past. All bedroom units are air-conditioned. Bedroom Units TAMBOTIE CHALET Tambotie has a king-sized, extra length bed and with its floor to ceiling sliding windows and doors you will feel as if you are sleeping outside. The en-suite bathroom is spacious with hand made twin basins set in a beautiful and original, solid wood vanity. The frameless shower and free-standing cast iron bath makes for a tasteful mixture of old and new. Relax in a candlelit bath as you soak up the peace and tranquility whilst looking out onto the bushveld. Your own small private deck area allows you to sit outdoors and enjoy an early morning cup of tea or a quiet evening sundowner. MARULA CHALET Marula comprises two bedrooms separated by a small lounge area. Ideal for family groups. Beds can be made up as either twin or king-size. The style of the rooms and the en-suite bathrooms otherwise offer the same experience as Tambotie. The larger deck area on this unit also provides an ideal place for privacy and game spotting.
