Chelmsford Game Reserve is situated on the Ngagane River in Northern KwaZulu-Natal less than three hours drive from Gauteng. Ntshingwayo (formerly Chelmsford) is the third largest dam in KwaZulu-Natal and is an excellent venue for swimming and relaxing in the sun as well as enjoying various water sports, including water skiing, jet skiing, kite surfing, canoeing and boating. Fresh water fishing is great fun in the area, with excellent opportunities to catch carp and scalies. The game reserve offers excellent game viewing opportunities, with large herds of springbok, blesbok and red hartebeest, as well as a significant population of the rare and elusive oribi antelope. Chelmsford Camp has eight fully equipped five-bed chalets featuring two bedrooms, a bathroom, a lounge/dining room, kitchenette and barbecue facilities set close to the water's edge, with magnificent views across the water.
