Clara Anna Fontein is a private game reserve and country lodge in the Durbanville wine valley, only 20 minutes from Cape Town city centre. Game drives are very popular among the tourists and locals to view and take advantage of the rare animals and plant species on the property. NB! Minimum of 4 guests required. We have a luxury tented camp that is situated in the game camp within a poplar forest and gives you a chance to experience the great outdoors! All 18 tents have en-suite bathrooms. Please note that this is for 10+guests only, unless guests form part of a conference or function group. We have four lovely cottages that are bed and breakfast/self-catering. Our function venues cater for corporate functions, conferences, teambuilding, weddings and birthdays, or even just a getaway for the family from the busy city life! The conference venues can host up to 70 delegates per conference. Clara Anna Fontein is also a regular location for local and international film shoots. Clara Anna Fontein is a short drive from busy Durbanville which has everything from bars, clubs and shopping centres. We are also situated in the heart of the Durbanville wine route where there are many surrounding farms offering wine tasting and tours.

• Travel on the N1 from Cape Town in the direction of Paarl. • Take the N7 turnoff towards Malmesbury. (Past Century City) • Travel on straight pass Bosmansdam Exit and pass Plattekloof turnoff. • Pass the refinery on your left hand side and pass the next exit which is the new M13 Durbanville & Tableview off ramp (exit 22). (If you by mistake take this exit, you take a detour through Durbanville wine route and have to turn left at the second traffic light at St John Street, carry straight on and follow signs direction Vissershok Road). • Rather travel about 2 kms further until you see a sign post saying Klein Vissershok turnoff to your left and Durbanville turnoff to your right. Take the Durbanville turnoff to your right! You are now on the normal Vissershok Road (M48). Carry on straight. • At the 4-way stop with the Contermanskloof/Adderley Street turnoffs - carry on straight to Durbanville. • After the crest of the hill, Meerendal Wine Estate is the 1st on the left hand side. Straight on for about 2 kms. • Clara Anna Fontein is situated on your right – after you have passed the Eureka / Asmat / The Mount turn off on your right. Look out for the Zebra Clara Anna Fontein sign!
