Conveniently located opposite the Drostdy Museum, this quaint country inn is the ideal place to stay over on your way to the Garden Route. Some of the rooms are a bit on the small side, but the tasteful furnishings and general welcoming ambience more than make up for this -- if you want more space, book one of the garden suites or the honeymoon suite. The inn has no lounge, but guests tend to gather around the sparkling pool and the equally charming restaurant, Roosje Van De Kaap, which serves a la carte meals with a strong Italian slant in an informal atmosphere -- definitely consider eating here even if you don't stay. Pizzas are popular, as is the Cape Duo (bobotie, curried lamb) and the filet Roosje, tender beef medallions prepared in garlic butter and herbs -- an all-time favorite.
