Homestead Lake Cottage is an up-market Guest House and Self Catering establishment situated virtually on the banks of the Homestead Lake. We have an abundance of bird life and you will wake up in the morning to the tranquil sound of the Hadeda. Homestead Lake is a popular picnic spot which is enjoyed by all the residents on the East Rand. We are in a very safe and quiet residential area close to all the major industrial sites and the O R Tambo Airport. BED AND BREAKFAST We offer Bed and Breakfast, but also have dinners and a laundry service available on request. We have 27 suites with outside entrances, some with an unspoilt view of the Homestead Lake. All suites have desks, TV's, DSTV, heaters and refreshent trays. We only use 100% cotton percale linen on our beds which adds to the comfort and luxury of your stay with us. Our establishments have off-road parking behind electric gates. SELF CATERING We have two self catering units. One is a two bedroomed self contained cottage which either has a king size bed and two single beds or four single beds. In addition we have a self catering suite. This unit has two single beds or a king size bed.All our accommodation is serviced daily. We offer special rates for long stays. CONFERENCE FACILITY In addition to the accommodation we offer a conference room which can seat a maximum of 30 delegates. We can offer accommodation to the delegates on site. Homestead Lake Cottage has the Homestead Lake as you leave the premeses on your left hand side. Here you will come acros the neighbours that are out for a stroll or walking the dog. Various fisherman frequent the Lake as well as the canoeists, sailers on their small sailing boats and the runners training for the Comrades Marathon. This Lake is the TOP Lake, one of 3 Lakes in Benoni. Motorised boats are not allowed, in keeping with the area. The area around Homestead Lake has mostly well maintained upmarket housing in a very tranquil surronding. In the mornings you will wake up to the sound of the Hadeda flying overhead on their way to their feeding ground, as well as during sunset, returning to the Lake. The Sheridan shopping centre is within walking diatance (850m) and many residents walk to the centre. Besides Pick & Pay, 3 autotellers, a hardware shop and Dispencery there are some eating places as well - Greek, Italian and Chinese restaurants as well as a fast food outlet. Further away, round 2 Km there are some larger shopping centres - Farrarmere Square with a Woolies and Atlasville Shopping Mall. For the sporting enthusiasts there is Benoni Country Club Golf Coarse round 2 KM away as well as Benoni Northens Sportsfields, Willowmore Park, Benoni Northens Swimming Pool also round 2 KM away.
