Keisie Cottages Description
Keisie Cottages is a peaceful and pet-friendly mountain retreat, which comprises of four self-catering mountain cottages, on a small fruit farm at the end of the beautiful Keisie Valley, 24 kms from Montagu. The farm called 'Vredendal' produces gooseberries, apricots and merlot vines as well as a few almonds, plums, quinces and citrus trees all of which are used to make our own jams, preserves and marmalades. You can pick your own fruit in season or visit our little packing shed to watch the gooseberry processing. There are lovely hikes, especially one to a series of rock pools, it is great for mountain biking and there is a lovely pool area. Best of all you can bring your friendly and house-trained dog on holiday! We have three charming restored farm cottages, Vine, Lavender and Fig Tree as well as Keisie Cottage which is a larger house for a family or group of friends. All are self-catering, self-contained and electrified for convenience, this however, does not detract from their rustic appeal. Three of the cottages are together, but not adjoined. They have screens and beautiful gardens between the cottages for privacy. These cottages are near the pool, and close to Keisie Cottage which is just a bit more secluded, with a private garden and stunning views. Each cottage has been transformed into a quaint, cosy environment with a traditional fireplace to ward off those chilly Cape winter nights. All have a kitchen, fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, kettle, fridge, hotplate and toaster. The bathrooms are re-furbished, with a lovely gas shower and a toilet. All linen provided but please bring your own towels. (can be provided on request). All cottages have a private stoep with braai facilities. Vine and Fig Tree each sleep 2, Lavender sleeps 4 and Keisie sleeps 6 to 8 guests. KEISIE COTTAGE This is a gem! Stunning views from the large verandah, complete privacy. Three bedrooms and a double sleeper couch in the lounge, bathroom with bath and shower and toilet as well as a second toilet. The house has a separate dining room and large kitchen and a beautiful private garden. There is a wendy house in the garden which can accommodate a few extra guests (nice for teenagers). We find that groups of friends or family like to stay here as the entertainment area is very spacious. Once again all beds, linen, duvets etc. as well as cutlery and crockery provided. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering including a microwave, washing machine and stove. Please bring your own towels, although they can be provided on request. The house sleeps six to eight guests.
AREA INFORMATION
