The Woodshed and the Stable cottages are away from the main house, set in their own private gardens filled with lavender and roses and surrounded by vineyards and wonderful views up to the mountains. The open-plan sitting/dining areas are furnished in relaxed country-house style with cape country antiques, a sqashy sofa, big comfortable wicker chairs, complete with fan, DSTV and a fireplace for those cosy winter evenings. Each have covered terraces furnished with chairs and a table for eating outside and gazing at the view.
The swimmin pool is set in the olive grove with the same panoramic view, stretching away to the blue of False Bay.
The luxurious Garden Cottage at Longfield is alongside the main house. Decorated in a similar country-house style, the bedroom separated by double folding doors and boasting beautiful antique French beds. Private terrace with stunning views over the vineyards to Cape Point, Table Mountain and the setting sun.
All three cottages are light and airy and have spectacular mountain and vineyard views and complete privacy. All have satellite television and fans and the spacious, pretty bathrooms have both a bath, a separate shower and heated towel rails. They are serviced every day with the exception of Sundays. There are bookshelves full of books on South African wine, flora and fauna, touches of Africa in the objets d'art and an electic mix of art on the walls. Special fabrics, up-to-date magazines and fresh flowers add to the friendly atmosphere. The swimming pool is set in a young olive grove and looks out to the sweeping panorama of vineyards to the ocean beyond, and the mountains behind Longfield.
