It provides the adventurous flyfisher with diverse and challenging conditions. Hiking and Nature Walks: The area offers strenuous hikes into the mountains, or easy strolls next to the river or in the open field, where you can enjoy the exceptional scenery, fauna & flora, and birds and wildlife along the way. Explore the many caves and overhangs on the mountainside or relax nex to the river or cool off in the refreshing mountain pools when hot and tired. Fauna & Flora: A variety of plant species grow in this area. Explore the alpine flowers, fynbos, and the medicinal plants in the area. Birding: Over 220 bird species has been identified and recorded in this area, for example the Lammergeier, Cape Vulture, Gymnogene, and Kingfisher. A full bird species list is available at the reception or in the lodge. Mountain Biking: Experience the wonderful countryside on one of the many cycling routes in the area. Other species can be arranged for in advance on other farms in the area. Scenic Drives: Take a scenic drive and enjoy the beauty of the area, or explore on of the 8 mountain passes. You will leave a new person with new vision and peace in your heart. Rockpool Swimming: Swim in the crystal clear mountain pools and be refreshed by the crisp mountain water.
