Relax and unwind on your private verandah with braai facilities overlooking a gurgling stream and paddock where the horses graze contentedly. BRUMBY LODGE (14-16 sleeper) is the ideal group venue and includes the following: 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 en-suite) in Brumby’s Mainhouse; 5 tastefully decorated, cozy and spacious log cabins sleep 2 persons in either twin or double beds (shared ablution block), each with its own private veranda set in park-like gardens commanding spectacular views of the mountains; Fabulous communal facilities at Brumby's Mainhouse (enormous fully-fitted kitchen, lounge etc); Enjoy a sundowner on the stunning deck with huge braai area or an evening under the stars in the open-air boma with fire pit; Other facilities include a lovely splash pool, volleyball, television and board games. Lydenrust Guest Farm is a two and a half hour drive from Pretoria and 3 hour drive from Johannesburg. Dullstroom, Pilgrim’s Rest, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, God’s Window and the Blyde River Canyon, Nelspruit, Sabie and Graskop are only a short drive away.

Directions from Pretoria: Get onto the N4 and drive east for 217 kilometres. At the N4 split, after the Machadodorp toll plaza, keep left on the R539 (Nelspruit via Schoemanskloof & R36 to Lydenburg). After 15.5 kilometres, turn left onto the R36 to Lydenburg, opposite the Bambi Hotel. Drive 18 kilometres then take the Rustenburg turnoff to the left opposite the Kwena Dam (GPS Co-ordinate S25 21.515 E30 21.089). Drive approximately 3.5 kilometres to entrance gate to Lydenrust's Appaloosa House, No. 18 or Brumby Lodge & Palomino Cottage, No. 15.
