The Mudlark River Front Lodge is situated at the mouth of the Breede River over looking 5 kms of pristine estuary. The lodge is run by Tim and Hilary and offers peace and tranquility, and personal service. There are 196 bird species, lots of easy walks, canoes for guests use, dinghies for hire, and Tim operates a charter business offering trips on the river and fishing on the river and the sea. The Breede River is the Capes premier fishing estuary, where one can catch spotted grunter, cob, steenbras, elf, leervis and a variety of smaller fish. The gardens are mainly indigenous and surrounded by fynbos. All rates are calculated on a dinner bed and breakfast basis, one gets a full English breakfast with views over the river and a 3 course dinner in the evenings. There is a small bar for guests use, where one can have a quiet drink with new found friends, or watch the fiery sun setting over the Potberg Mountains from the view deck. All 5 rooms are en-suite and all have beautiful river views. St Sebastian Bay is known as the Whale nursery of South Africa, there are fantastic walks along the cliffs where one can watch the whales performing in the bay (June-Oct)
