The rooms are tastefully furnished to celebrate South Africa’s wonderful diversity of wildlife and spectacular landscapes. Breakfast is a scrumptious affair, while several restaurants are in close driving distance from the lodge for lunch and dinner. A meal delivery service is also available should you just want to relax next to the pool with a book on sunny days, or in the cozy lounge on colder days. Being right next to a golf course and within 5 minutes’ walk from a gym and the Korsman Bird Sanctuary offers our guests activity on our doorstep. Day excursions to explore all that Gauteng has to offer can be booked through the lodge. We have been operating safaris to the Kruger National Park for the past seven years and specialize in this region of South Africa. All safaris are conducted by professional safari guides employed by ourselves. We do not subcontract safaris to other companies. You will deal with us personally and safaris generally leave from the Outlook Lodge. Options vary from budget camping to luxury lodge safaris. Korsman Bird Sanctuary The lodge is situated within five minutes walking distance from a popular bird sanctuary. The sanctuary boasts 75 bird species. Our resident guide, Robert is available to provide birding tours. Golf The lodge borders Benoni Lake Country Club, which incorporates a par 72, 18 hole golf course. Rounds of golf can be organised at short notice. The lodge stocks golf clubs, which can be hired on a daily basis. Walking/jogging Due to proximity of the bird sanctuary, many clients spend their afternoons taking a relaxing walk or jog around the sanctuary. You don’t have to be an avid birder to enjoy this picturesque neighbourhood. Swimming Our lodge has a swimming pool. All guests are welcome to enjoy this facility at their leisure. Gym A world class gym is situated within 5 minutes walk from our lodge. Day passes can be organised. Gym facilities include, sauna, aerobics, spinning, 5 star change rooms, free weights and cardio equipment. Shopping We are situated within 5 minutes walking distance to a small shopping centre. There are two large shopping malls within five minutes driving distance. Both shopping malls have ample entertainment facilities. Immediately after departing the airport, take the R21 to Boksburg Continue on the highway past the Griffiths road turnoff At four kilometres take the N12 turnoff to Witbank (left turn onto N12) After another four kilometres take the M43 Atlas Road turnoff. At the traffic light turn right and go over the highway. Cross over two traffic lights and at 0.8 kilometres take a left turn into Lakefield ave. Lakefield avenue is the first major intersection after turning off the highway. Continue over a set of traffic lights (Lakefield Mall on left) and at 0.7 kilometres you arrive at a split in the road. Take the right split (Planet Fitness gym passes on your left) After 0.4 kilometres you get to Sunnyside ave. Turn right into Sunnyside. After 0.3 kilometres you arrive at the corner of Sunnyside and Ambleside. The Outlook Lodge is on the corner. Please use the entrance in Ambleside Ave.
