The lodge is located in de Kelders - a small village at the Atlantic Ocean between Stanford and Gansbaai. Whether you are looking for adrenalin and decide to go on a shark cage diving trip to discover the Great White Sharks as close as possible or if you decide to savour the local wines at the estates in the nearby Stanford Valley - our friendly staff would be glad to assist you with information and make your stay an unforgettable and enjoyable experience. A hiking trail passes by in front of the Lodge and takes you to the Walker Bay Nature Reserve where 13km of untouched sandy beaches invite you to picnic and enjoy the most stunning sunsets. The trail sidles along the high cliffs of de Kelders where you have the worldwide best possibilities for land based whale watching between July and December.

Coming from Cape Town Take the N2 towards George for ca 80km. Turn left and take the R43 towards Hermanus. Follow the R43 trough Hermanus and Stanford and you’ll reach de Kelders. Coming from George Take the N2 towards Cape Town. Turn left in Riviersonderend and follow the R326 to Stanford. In Stanford turn left into the R43 and follow the road to de Kelders. In De Kelders Take the first entrance into de Kelders on your right and turn left at the first paved crossing (landmark ANLO) into the Hoof Weg (Main Road). Take the second road on your right and turn into Ingang Straat. Sea Star Lodge welcomes you after 200m on your left.
