Our beautiful backdrop is the wonderful Magaliesberg Mountains and we are within walking distance of the magnificent Hartbeespoort Dam and only 23.5ks from Lanseria International Airport. Here at Silver Moon Bed and Breakfast we strive to provide high quality bed and breakfast accomodation in a family friendly & welcoming atmosphere. Silver Moon B&B is in the centre of Hartbeespoort and is ideally situated close to most of the activities and attractions that Harties has to offer. Staying with us at our guest house gives you the opportunity to enjoy the area at its best, whether staying with us as a stop over, or as your base for exploring the Hartbeespoort area. We are always keen to advise or assist with places to visit, activities available and restaurants to try. This establishment is family owned & managed. Our rates are a set standard rate which stays the same for weekends as weekday and public holidays. The cost is for the room only, breakfast can be provided at an additional cost, you have the option of Continental or Full English breakfast. Moonlight: is a stunning romantic bedroom for couples on honeymoon, celebrating an anniversary or just wanting some quality time together. (Romantic package available in this room for that perfect romantic getaway, please ask for details.) New Moon: is a spacious size bedroom that can accommodate a family of 4-5 for an affordable family holiday. Alternatively the room can accommodate 4 adults sharing. Both rooms have queen size beds, tea/coffee facilities, air conditioning, fans, televisions and private bathrooms. Guest lounge: The guest lounge is situated upstairs along with the 2 bedrooms and it is exclusively for guests to use. Dining area - x2 4 seater tables and chairs, crockery and cutlery for 8 people. Lounge area - T.V, full DSTV and a DVD player, there is also there is a reading chair with a selection of books and magazines available. Shared Kitchen Facilities - fridge, microwave available. Children's Corner: an indoor play area for the younger children, with a selection of toys for them to play with. Swimming pool: For fun in the sun. (Covered by safety net when not in use) Lapa/Entertainment area - for relaxing by the pool. A braai is available on request.

Hartbeespoort also known as Harties is a small resort town in the North West Province of South Africa, situated on slopes of the Magaliesberg mountain and the banks of the Hartbeespoort Dam. The name of the town means "pass of the hartbees" (a species of antelope) in Afrikaans. It was previously known as Schoemansville, named after General Hendrik Schoeman, a Boer General in the Anglo-Boer War, who owned the farm that the Hartbeespoort Dam was built on. The town consists mainly of holiday homes around the dam as it is popular with visitors from nearby Gauteng Province

From Fourways- Follow William Nicol Drive (R511) towards Hartbeespoort. Drive past Diepsloot. Continue underneath the N14 highway for approx 2 km turn left (R511) and continue towards Hartbeespoort (25km). Turn left at Harrington Street then right onto St Monica across the 4 way stop to Meintjies Street From Johannesburg - N1 North take N14 (Krugersdorp) exit. Continue on N14 and take R511 exit for Hartbeespoort. Turn left at traffic light. Continue for 2 km approx and then turn left onto R511. Continue onto Hartbeespoort (about 25km) Turn left at Harrington Street then right onto St Monica across the 4 way stop to Meintjies Street. From Randburg - Take Malibongwe Drive towards Lanseria Airport and continue for about 34.5km. Drive past Lanseria Airport and Lesedi Cultural Village. Turn right at the T-junction and follow signs towards Hartbeespoort. Once in Hartbeespoort you will go past Xanadu Eco Estate, KFC at Sediba Plaza Shopping Centre. Carry on for approx 4 km then turn left at Harrington Street and right onto St Monica across the 4 way stop to Meintjies Street. Directions from Rustenburg take the N4 to Pretoria. Exit at the Sandton/Hartbeespoort off ramp Turn right and go over highway and continue approx 2km and filter left at the T-junction. Continue on to 4way stop and proceed straight ahead. This road will take you over the Dam wall and onto Scott Street which is the main road into Harties. At 1st stop street turn right into Harrington Drive (you will see Colliers estate agents on your left) At the next stop street turn right, proceed to next stop street and turn left. We are Number 38 on the corner of Meintjies Street and Monica Street. (Opposite the post office)
