AREA INFORMATION
St James is a residential suburb, situated on the False Bay coast between Muizenberg and Kalk Bay. St James was the site of the original Whaling Station for Kalk Bay and was named after the Catholic Church which was built in 1859. Many of the "Rand" Baron's had their holidays here including Cecil John Rhodes. Today their homes are National Monuments, some of which are open to the Public. Whale watch (May to November), take leisurely strolls along the promenade, sun bathe on the beach, or go fishing from land or sea. Play Golf at one of the two Golf Courses nearby, approximately 5Kms north or south or perhaps, a set or two of Tennis to prepare your appetite for Dinner. There many excellent restaurants within walking distance, you can of course take the car if you prefer. Easy access to all major Tourist attractions e.g. Table Mountain, Cape Point and the Winelands, and a wide variety of interesting places in and around the Western Cape
