The Grange is a gracious three storey 1950's mansion situated in upper Durban North in quiet Monteith Place. Recently renovated, The Grange has a stunning reception/dining area that flows out onto the extended patio through folding stack doors. Breakfast is enjoyed on the patio which overlooks the garden,pool and has views to the sea. Being a house with a history (it was the 1st BnB in Durban North), no two rooms at The Grange are alike. Whether spacious and gracious or cosy and comfortable, all rooms enxjoy the same quality of furnishings and decor. Extra long queen or twin (king) beds, quality percale sheets, extra large duvets and pillows, 32 inch flat screen wall mounted TVs with Dstv, ceiling fans, reverse cycle air con, safe,(lap top on request), tea tray with real coffee, hairdryer and clock radio. All our bathrooms are state of the art with top quality frameless shower screens, gebrit suspended toilets, Italian san ware and beautiful porcelain tiling. Most of our showers are huge! We also cater for families with two family rooms that sleep up to 4 each. The ground floor family room is also wheelchair accessible and has a specifially designed 'wet room' style ensuite bathroom. Another unique room is the Indaba tree room on the 1st floor which has its own private roof terrace with views to the city and sea.

Monteith Place is situated in upper Durban North just 500 metres up from the Broadway shopping and restaurant area. 10 minutes drive south will take you to the Durban CBD, Kingemead cricket grounds, and Ushaka Marine World. 5 minutes south will get you to the beautiful Moses Mabhida soccer stadium and the Absa Rugby stadium. If you are in the mood for night life, the Sun Coast casino is just 7 minutes away and it also has a patrolled swimming beach. 10 minutes north will see you at the huge Gateway Theatre of Shopping and the Umhlanga beaches and restaurants or if you are here on business, the La Lucia and Umhlanga Ridge Business parks.

Location: 1 Monteith Place From King Shaka Airport take the N2 Southbound (towards Durban). Take the Kwa Mashu off ramp which is the one after the Gateway offramp. Turn left onto North Coast Road (now called Chris Hani Road) and continue along through three sets of traffic lights. At the 4st set of lights turn left onto Blackburn Road. Follow this road through two sets of lights (it becomes Northway/Kenneth Kaunda). Just after the 2nd set of lights take the next right into Norfolk Place. The sign says (Norfolk, to Monteith place). Go straight up this short road and we are the large white house on the left hand corner at the crossroads. Continue straight up to the first driveway on the left and you are here!
