Situated just 10 km outside Aliwal North on the Lady Grey road, this historic farm hotel again welcomes guests just as it did at the turn of the century. Nestled between Aloe covered hillsides on the banks of the Kraai River, the Inn provides a soul refreshing experience for the tired traveller. A magnificent six arch sandstone bridge built in 1881, now a National Monument, guards the entrance to the Inn. Once heavily loaded wagons of the transport riders taking their wares to the mountain districts of Herschel, Lady Grey, Barkly East and Rhodes crossed this bridge after spending the night at the old Inn. Today the Inn is used as a base by travellers to discover the wonders that these mountain districts have to offer.
