From Cape Town International Airport Take the (N2 - CAPE TOWN) and drive west towards the City and Table Mountain (approx. 12 km). As you get closer to Devil's Peak, you will see signposts directing you to MUIZENBERG / KIRSTENBOSCH GARDENS. Follow them and BEAR LEFT onto the M3 (MUIZENBERG - SOUTH). Continue along the (M3 - SOUTH) for approx. 15.7 km, until you reach the T-junction at the end of the freeway. You will pass at least 10 off-ramps, some of them being to the University of Cape Town, Kirstenbosch Gardens, Claremont, Constantia, Ladies Mile and Tokai before arriving at the LAKESIDE/FISH HOEK/WESTLAKE T-junction. At this point you have two choices to reach Fish Hoek: either along the COASTAL ROAD (M4 - SOUTH) or over a mountain pass called OU KAAPSE WEG - M64. The Coastal Road - M4 South At the T-junction, TURN LEFT onto the (M42 - LAKESIDE) and then TURN RIGHT at the traffic lights onto the (M4 SOUTH ? the COASTAL ROAD). You will travel through the seaside villages of Lakeside, Muizenberg, St James, Kalk Bay and then finally arrive in the main road or high street of Fish Hoek. (There is an upper coastal road called BOYES DRIVE, which you are also able to take. As you turn right onto the M4 - SOUTH, take the 3rd ROAD RIGHT onto Boyes Drive, at the Westlake Arms, just before Lakeside Spar. There should be a sign to Westlake Golf Course. At the end of Boyes Drive, turn RIGHT onto the M4-SOUTH to resume your journey into Fish Hoek.) PASS THROUGH FISH HOEK, until you arrive at a ROUNDABOUT OR CIRCLE with directions LEFT TO SIMONSTOWN or RIGHT TO KOMMETJIE (M65 - WEST). TURN RIGHT to KOMMETJIE (M65) around the circle and travel along KOMMETJIE ROAD. Continue along KOMMETJIE ROAD for approx. 1km until you take the 2ND ROAD LEFT into HIGHWAY ROAD. You will pass ZIP PRINT, A CATHOLIC CHURCH, FISH HOEK PRIMARY SCHOOL AND A POOL SHOP ON YOUR RIGHT, before you reach HIGHWAY ROAD ON YOUR LEFT HAND SIDE. You will see a Christmas tree, a red post box and a veterinary surgeon on the corner. TURN LEFT INTO HIGHWAY ROAD and travel for a further 200metres. Take the 2ND ROAD RIGHT into BERG ROAD (at the African Tides Guest House sign), climbing up the mountain for approx 400metres. BE CAREFUL as the first road right is also Berg Rd. Pass over RANGER ROAD and then turn 2ND ROAD RIGHT into PEAK ROAD around a very sharp corner and travel for a further 200metres. TRANQUILITY GUEST HOUSE is No. 25 PEAK ROAD on your LEFT HAND SIDE. There is ample guest parking on the street between the driveway and stairs or you are welcome to attempt our steep driveway and park on the right hand side. From Ou Kaapse Weg (The Old Cape Road) (WARNING: not advisable AT NIGHT) At the T-junction, once you have reached the end of the M3 highway, TURN RIGHT at the traffic light following the signs posted to (FISH HOEK OVER OU KAAPSE WEG - M64). BEAR LEFT onto OU KAAPSE WEG and enjoy the exquisite drive over the mountain pass. Once you reach the bottom of Ou Kaapse Weg, TURN LEFT AT THE SECOND TRAFFIC LIGHT (M65 ? East) towards Fish Hoek. Then turn RIGHT AT THE NEXT TRAFFIC LIGHT INTO KOMMETJIE ROAD. Travel along KOMMETJIE ROAD until you pass through ONE MORE TRAFFIC LIGHT and immediately after that traffic light take the 2ND ROAD RIGHT into HIGHWAY ROAD. A veterinary surgeon, red post box and Christmas tree will be on the corner. Follow the last 3 steps above. From Cape Town City Centre and V&A Waterfront From the WATERFRONT/BUITENGRACHT STREET junction, take the N2 and travel south east, keeping in the right hand lane so that you are able to take the RIGHT HAND FORK (N2 AIRPORT/MUIZENBERG). Travel along the motorway for approx. 6 km. Once again keep in the RIGHT HAND LANE and the motorway now becomes the M3 -SOUTH MUIZENBERG. Follow the last 9 steps above. From Stellenbosch and the N2 Somerset West Take the R310 (BADEN POWELL DRIVE) ? SOUTH towards MUIZENBERG. Keep hugging the coast on your LEFT HAND SIDE until you arrive in the seaside village of MUIZENBURG and pass underneath a RAILWAY LINE BRIDGE. After the bridge, turn LEFT at the TRAFFIC LIGHTS directing you on the M4 SOUTH to FISH HOEK. You will pass through the seaside villages of St. James and Kalk Bay and then arrive in Fish Hoek. Follow the last 5 steps above.
