Affordable but comfortable self catering accommodation.
Suite 1 is a quaint first floor 4 bedded en-suite room (2 single beds & a double bunk) open plan to a fully self cater equipped Kitchenette & covered outdoor braai / BBQ area in the garden. Full PVR DSTV. (a 2nd double bunk available by prior request can make it a 6 sleeper)
Suite No. 2 is a ground floor 2 bed en-suite room, with a little Kitchenette but no TV. (3rd bed or double bunk available on prior request)
2010 Rates: Midweek” R+ 180pppn Weekends R+ 200pppn Long & special weekends R+ 250pppn depending on: High Season = School Holidays, Low Season = School Terms
(Mountain bikes: 3 basic mountain bikes available to hire at R100 per half day/4 hours.
Fully furnished & equipped for self-catering but should you prefer to eat out, then take your pick from 35 delightful restaurants & pubs in & around Dullstroom (listed below) The charming village centre & "high" street is only a pleasant 10 minute walk away.

Our safe, virtually crime-free village of Dullstoom, is nestled between hills & trout rivers above the Mpumalanga escarpment. Don't miss the opportunity to stay at Tumbleweed Self Catering Suites & Backpackers, conveniently situated amidst the stunningly beautiful Mpumalanga Highlands Meander, the fly-fishing Mecca of South Africa on the edge of Dullstroom village only a few minutes walk away while offering affordable self catered accommodation, wide open garden spaces & the best country views of surrounding wetlands / grassy fields.
Awesome views: We boast the best country views that the village has to offer. Take time out to relax, absorb the peaceful atmosphere of the surrounding wetlands, nearby trout dams & Dullstroom's own "Suikerboschkop" mountain.
Climate: Bask in the temperate to warm Summer days that are never too hot but remember your warmest winter woolies for those chilly, misty winter nights.
ACTIVITIES: We are worldwide renowned for the best trout fly fishing in the country as well as by top Olympic runners for out high altitude training venues. There are plenty of other fun and exciting adventures to be had in and around Dullstroom area including day hikes / walking either to visit the quaint arts and craft shops and multitude of restaurants in the village or the exquisite country side on our doorstep including wetlands, grassland hills, nature small game reserve to our famous Suickerboschkop "mountain", rivers and dams, horse riding, day drive tours and hikes, sites of historical and cultural interest, bird of prey centre flight displays with Mark and Mark from the UK who will keep you both highly informed and amused with their classic sense of humour, mountain biking challenges for leisure or extreme fitness plus we have 3 basic mountain bikes for hire on site @ R25 / half day leisure rides. A few Km's out of town you can find 4x4 qaud-bikes, paintball, clay pigeon shooting or contact us for group bookings for more extreme adventures further a-field but in the local region such as white water river rafting and tubing, bungee jumps, bridge swinging, abseiling in waterfalls, kloofing (gorge / canyon hike and swimming), hot air balloon flight safari, game / wild life safari, Wild At Heart Camps ... etc the list is endless

DIRECTIONS: GPS Co-ordinates: 25°24' 38" S 30° 6' 9" E (We are the highest altitude town in South African borders at 6646.9 Ft. = 2025.97 m above sea level.)
• From Gauteng (Johannesburg or Pretoria) take N4 Eastwards past Witbank & Middleburg (or from the East travel N4 Westward to Belfast)
• Take Belfast off ramp & follow signs into town, go through a few stop streets until your see Dullstroom sign & follow to the right
• + 33ish Km’s into Dullstroom, past BP garage on left & upper village shops, thru 1st stop street & straight down hill into the lower village through 2nd stop street.
• Look out on left for a stone walled restaurant called “Pickles & Things” & turn left into Lethabo Street (formerly Gunning St.)
• Keep on going past the Post Office on left, up over crest of hill, the paved road becomes a dirt road, keep going straight to end at bottom of hill
• Go straight across the last junction with Schoeman St.
• Then turn immediately first right into our entrance gate sign boarded Tumbleweed to the right
• We are the very last house on right with half stone & pale walls & grey roofs.
• Enter the gate & keep left in the circle, the car port on left is for guests.
• Reception is at the main house on the right (Wildways)
• Tumbleweed Suite 1 is up the stairs, left of the Garage doors.
• Tumbleweed Suite 2, follow the stepping stones to the right of the main house to the stone stair case at the far end.
