Welbedacht is a privately owned and run Nature Reserve nestled at the foot of the Winterhoek Mountains, offering a stunning retreat in the country. With a beautiful diversity of fynbos, Renosterveld and Wetlands as well as clusters of pear, peach and apricot orchards, bordering on a 12 hectare gamecamp with the views of the mountains around you and the valley in front of you, a visit to Welbedacht will not easily be forgotten. Our beautifully decorated cottages nestle snugly in amongst the fynbos. Each cottage boasts a large shady verandah and private plunge pool where you can relax and enjoy the view. Hiking, game viewing, fishing, mountain biking and gentle walks around the farm as well as swimming in the dam or bird watching are all available. Horseriding and Winetasing can be done on the adjacent farms. The reserve itself is only a 5 minute drive from the historic town of Tulbagh where you will find a choice of restaurants and pubs, art galleries and craft shops. The area is well known for its wine and olive industry as well as for its beautiful location.
