Pioneer Camp is the most relaxing campsite around Lusaka. It is the last oasis stopover on the way to South Luangwa and Malawi. Pioneer camp is the ideal place to start when visiting Zambia. It is a safe and clean place, child-friendly and the advice of the expert staff is a great way to start your Zambian journey. The campsite and simple chalets share charcoal-heated showers (hot water in the evening, only warm in the morning, unless big groups are in camp). The smarter 'safari' chalets, a short distance from the main camp, have private bathrooms. Braai packs, home cooked meals, vegetarian meals, snacks, freezer space and ice are available. There is also a children's playground and trampoline.
