Bumi Hills Safari Lodge offers a variety of game and birdlife for the enthusiast and amateur alike. Elephant, Buffalo, Kudu, and Impala abound, and Lion can be heard on the hunt. Almost 400 bird species have been recorded on the valley floor and around the Lake shore. These include the European hobby, the cuckoo falcon and the bathawk. Fish eagles and Bateleur eagles survey all from above. Fishing for the fighting tiger is a fisherman`s dream, and bream catches are good. You can view the wildlife by vehicle, or boat, or on foot with a guide, and you can fish from a boat amongst the drowned forests of Lake Kariba. The Lodge nestles in the natural bush on top of the hills and offers both a cooling breeze and fantastic views of the Lake. Game abounds on the shore and around the Lodge, and that Tiger Fish is just waiting to be caught. The garden is a perfect place to relax while recounting the game seen or the fish caught over a cup of tea, or coffee or something stronger. Sundown on the deck is an experience to remember and makes dinner taste even better.
