The Central-Northern Region of Namibia is where youll find the Etosha National Park, considered to be one of Africas greatest parks. The Etosha National park is home to about 114 diffrent species of mammals. Four of the famous big five can be spotted in Etosha (aal but the Buffalo) and the parks has considerable populations of both Black Rhino and Elephants. The Etosha pan is a strange wilderness that will have you mesmirised with its surreal scenery. The park is Naibias biggest asset in terms of toursim.
The central-Northern Region of Namibia is also where youll find the towns of Tsumeb, Grootfontein, Otjiwarongo and Outjo. This unique region of Namibia is home to the Hoba Metiorite, thought to be the largest metoirite, in a single piece on the surface of the earth. The location of the metiorite has bee changed into a protection are4a and includes a visitor center. Also to be found in the region is the Waterrberg Plateau park. This park contains somew very intersting mammals and is definately worth a visit.
The Central-Northern Region of Namibia is definately worth a visit, although the distance there can seem gruelling, its definately worth the trek. Tempratures in Namibia can be rather extreme and the northern stretches of the country can get quite hot. The town of Grootfontein is an important center in the region and can be very green in the summer. Also an impotrant town in the region is Tsumeb. The mining town is home to weird and wondeful minerals and is considered as being the gateway to the north.
