Karibib Area Travel Guide

Home, Karibib Area Travel Guide

Namibia’s Karibib is a small town situated approximately halfway between Swakopmund and Windhoek. Karibib is famous for its excellent quality marble – it is deemed to be the hardest in the world and was used to build government buildings in Namibia, Cape Town’s parliament buildings, and also features in the Frankfurt International Airport’s architecture.

Nayachab, Namibia’s only gold mine is also found in close proximity to Karibib. Karibib is situated between the coast and Windhoek, which makes it an ideal stopover for travellers. Karibib offers a diversity of available accommodation for tourists to choose from. This includes hotels, B&Bs, hostels, guesthouses and backpackers.

The safari lodges in the Karibib area ensure that guests get the best possible Namibian experience. Karibib bed and breakfasts are also very popular as stopover destinations, due to the comfort and relaxing atmosphere they offer guests.
