On 10th November 2000, a formal agreement was reached between the governments of South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mozambique which made posible the creation of the great limpopo Trans -Frontier Park & Conservation Area.
The 1.000.000 ha Limpopo National Park, born on 27 November 2001, is a Key element of this greater concept. Fundamental to the concept of the Limpopo National Park, is the requirement that it contributes to the welfare of the people of Mozambique, through sustainable eco-end cultural tourism development and resource use, compatible with the conservation objectives of the Park.
