The Ruins of Great Zimbabwe is one of the most interesting World Heritage Sites to be found south of the Sahara. The ruins are believed to be hundreds of years old and attract visitors from all over, who marvel at these ancient structures. The ruins are located in the Masvingo province and the capital town of Masvingo is in close proximity.
The Ruins are the major attraction in the region, but the nearby the Gonarezhou National Park as well as the Mutirikwi Recreational Park. These parks are very popular with tourists as well as locals.
