The island has other historical buildings and is home to a vibrant community of locals. The surrounding Indian Ocean and tropical climate is inspiring and relaxing.

When sitting on a beach youre guaranteed to not wait more than half an hour before someone will stroll past and offer you seafood at a very decent price. This as well as the affordability of other consumables, just adds to the appeal of the region. The endless stretches of beaches and palm trees are the stuff dreams are made of.

The Quirimbas Archipelago is also part of Northern Mozambique. The UNESCO World Heritage site, is a must see. The islands are considered to be one of the best diving spots in the world. Numerous reefs and rich in marine life, the islands really look like they should be on a post card. The Northern part of Mozambique id definitely worth a visit, as it has so much magic and wonderful things to see. If you dont feel like the commercial vibe of southern Mozambique, then the Northern part is definitely for you.
