Ballito, just a 30-minute drive from Durban, is KwaZulu Natal favorite holiday town. The blue ocean, sandy beaches and warm weather draw holiday goers from all across South Africa during the summer months.  The beach is popular with both people looking for a tan or some good surf. The nearby tidal pools offer a great way to relax and soak up the sun.

The Dolphin Coast as it’s also known is a wonderful area of KwaZulu Natal with dense sugar cane plantations on the hills as a backdrop to a scenic seaside town.  The famous Gateway The Theater of Shopping, the biggest shopping mall in Africa is just outside Durban and has everything you can possibly think of including the highest indoor climbing rock in the world. Something for everyone.

The Hibiscus Coast as it’s affectionately know is home to some of the best fishing spots the country has to offer. The nearby towns of Umhlanga and Umdloti are also very popular during the summer holidays. The tropical climate of Kwazulu Natal is a big factor is drawing in the numbers. Durban has a very rich heritage and Culture and well is recommended for a visit, it’s only 30 minutes along a beautiful coastline.
