Jeffrey’s Bay is one of the best surfing spots in the world. The world famous supertubes plays host to the annual Billabong Pro that attracts surfers and visitors from across the globe. The beach at Jeffrey’s has been awarded blue flag status, and thus a beach of exceptional quality in terms of cleanliness and staff. The town has an “I’m on holiday” vibe, coupled with the amount of surfers, Jeffrey’s is a mecca for surf and sand.

Jeffrey’s Bay is situated in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa, and the Indian Ocean offers a warmer body of water than the Western Cape. The nearby city of Port Elizabeth is about an hour’s drive from J-bay, as it’s alternatively known. The town has an abundance of Surf shops and all associated paraphernalia can be picked up on just about every corner.  

The Eastern Cape is the traditional home the Xhosa, and a visit to one of their villages can be very rewarding to the discerning visitor. The natural beauty of the province screams to be discovered and you’ll find Jeffery’s bay offer more than just exceptional surf.
