Somerset West is a large town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. The town shouldn’t be confused with Somerset East in the Eastern Cape. The town forms part of the greater Cape Town municipality and its location on False Bay makes it one of the busier holiday towns in the Western Cape. Somerset West is quite close to Stellenbosch and
all its treasures that a day trip to the town would be a great idea. The beaches in the area are good for swimming and surf, and although the area is notorious for sharks, there is a presence of life guards and other facilities to make sure no one should get in danger. The town has all amenities and facilities, and you’ll never be more than 15 minutes drive away from what you need. There is also a big shopping center aptly named the Somerset Mall.
Somerset west in at the foot of the Hottentots Holland Mountains with is where you’ll find Sir Lowry’s Pass, the scenic route that leads to the
