Keimoes is an area situated in the Northern Cape, a beautiful area filled with an abundance of green foliage.
One of the more popular attractions in Keimoes is the Tierberg Nature Reserve, which is situated approximately 4 kilometers outside of the town. The Tierberg Nature Reserve is great spot for travelers to visit, especially for its spectacular views of the Orange Valley River and some of its beautiful islands. The Reserve consists of approximately 160 hectares of land which is home to many different species of antelopes and indigenous flora. Keimoes is also an area with deep historic roots, there is a Dutch Reformed Mission Church as well as a Persian waterwheel both built in the late 18th century. The reconstructed waterwheel is still utilized as an irrigation canal along the towns main road.
