Arniston is a quaint seaside town in the Overberg region, located on the Cape South coast. It is near the southernmost tip of Africa, just north of Cape Agulhas. The charming fishing town showcases many modest cottages and houses, which lie along the soft beaches. The traditional white and clay-looking cottages are a distinctive feature of Arniston.

Arniston is known for its rich history. The name Arniston is that of a ship that sunk in the area in 1815. The Bredasdorp Shipwreck Museum is a great place to visit if you are wanting to experience and gain more knowledge on the history of Arniston.

Arniston’s beaches are picturesque, with soft sand dunes and clear waters, and photographers flock to capture this beauty. The beaches are safe for swimming and great for surfing.
