In the IIkaras Region of Namibia is a small village known as Aus. Its lies on the B4 national road and the closest cities are Lüderitz on the east which is about 125 kilometers and Keetmanshoop on the west.
The village is located on the foothills of the Aus Mountain just above the Namib Dessert. Although it is such a small village, Aus offers excellent facilities to refuel if you are travelling to either Lüderitz or Keetmanshoop also making it a great stopover.
West of Aus, there are feral hoses living in the area and a visit to the town is not complete still you have seen these. You are able to see these beautiful creatures from the Garub Pan as they drink water from an artificial waterhole there. Another interesting place to see is the memorial site of a former prisoner-of-war camp where all German war inmates where held during the First World War.

What a beautiful Lodge, excellent service (5 star), location is one of the best in this country. We received outstanding service from a team that exceeded every need we had as a family.
