In the northern edges of Zululand is a small rural town, Babanango.
The name means “Father, there she is” referring to a lost child who was found on the slopes of a hill in the area and has become a popular landmark. Babanango forms part of the Battlefields Route and it is a great place to explore the history of the Anglo-Zulu battles. If you are travelling through the route, Babanango also makes a great stopover as it provides basic facilities to refuel.
