EXPLORE Beira

Beira is the second largest and port city in the Sofala Province of Mozambique where the Pungwe River and the Indian Ocean meet.

The city was founded in 1887 as a major port for all Portuguese trade and has remained a busy pot city.
As the town has always been aligned with trade, Beira offers very little for tourism but still has potential. There are several restaurants and bars and since it is buzzing city, nightlife is pretty vibrant. Sightseeing is one activity often enjoyed and the Cathedral and the lighthouse are the best places to start. If the outdoor experience is what you are after, Macuti Beach is within easy reach and a day can be enjoyed there.
Accommodation in Beira is limited but good enough to ensure pleasant holiday. Beira accommodation s mainly offered in beautiful hotels that are known to be pocket friendly.

Guest Story: A perfect family beach holiday in Plettenberg Bay

Robberg Beach Lodge

What a beautiful Lodge, excellent service (5 star), location is one of the best in this country. We received outstanding service from a team that exceeded every need we had as a family. The breakfast is outstanding and they catered for my children's needs which included items not on the normal breakfast menu.
