Helmeringshausen is a settelment in the IIkaras Region of Namibia.
This remote settlement is situated 200 kilometers northeast from Lüderitz and 500 south of Windhoek. It is an ideal stopover for those travelling from Lüderitz to the Namib-Naukluft Park, Sossusvlei and the Fish River Canyon. Helmeringshausen was originally founded as a farm and has since become a great tourist destination for guests visting the area or just passing by. Visitors to the town often enjoy desert drives, nature walks, hiking and wildlife viewing. Animals such as the duiker, meerkat and the bat-eared fox can be spotted roaming freely.
