Vereeniging is a city in the southerly parts of Gauteng where the Klip River empties in the Vaal River.
The city is neighbours with Vanderbijlpark and Johannesburg is only 60 kilometres away. Vereeniging was named after the Dutch word for “union” as it forms part of the Vaal Triangle and was once situated in the Transvaal Province.
