Limpopo is the northern most province of South Africa and borders Mozambique, Botswana and Zimbabwe. The region in filled with abundant wildlife, spectacular scenery and a rich history.

 
 Historians state that the first black Africans moved across Limpopo before 300 AD, the Voortrekkers arrived in Limpopo in the early nineteenth century and sparked numerous battles between indigenous African settlers and the Voortrekkers, during the apartheid era, Limpopo was divided up into what became known as homeland area.
 Polokwane, the capital of Limpopo, is covered in lavish jacaranda trees, covering the town in bright shades of purple. It is also known for its historical buildings and for having a great balance between commercial, urban living and old historical countryside. Polokwane is located on the Great North Road and half way between Pretoria and Zimbabwe

The mountainous area of the Waterberg is home to many game reserves and the northern sections of the Kruger National Park, situated in Limpopo is home to many herds of elephants and buffalo, providing great wilderness sightings for travellers. The Soutspanberg area is one impressive regions of South Africa, travellers flock to this region for its beautiful forest trails and stunning vegetation. Heading north towards Zimbabwe, travellers can expect to see many heritage sights, there are approximately 340 indigenous tree species and a rich wildlife, the area is also home to the largest concentration of leopards.
