In South Africa, visit the world-famous Cape Winelands; the spectacular Garden Route and its quirky cousin, Route 62; the West Coast Flower Route; Addo and Eastern Cape Safari; the Northern Cape.
The Cape Winelands route north east of Cape Town offers a number of world-renowned wine routes ranging through picturesque historic towns. Wine tasting, fine dining, cheese tasting, fine art, arts and crafts and historic architecture mark all the towns along these routes.
A popular and scenic stretch of the south east coast of South Africa, the Garden Route runs from Mossel Bay in the Western Cape to Storms River in the western-most section of the Eastern Cape. The national N2 road can be followed for the whole route.
Route 62 offers an authentic Karoo experience and route between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. Good secondary roads wind through scenic mountain and semi-desert plains settings and little towns en-route offer great Karoo accommodation and a real taste of rural Karoo.
