Situated just 80km from Inhambane airport, the resort is at sea level on the spectacular sand dunes with views of the sea and lagoon in the distance. The perfect local beach getaway to explore the oceans depths for the enthusiastic fisherman and scuba diver. Flights 3 times a week available from Johannesburg to Inhambane or self drive 5 hours from Maputo on the newly tarred highway.

• Travelling Tips: • (Please note that you will need a 4x4 to get to Bay of Shells, you can use a 2x4 but it is not advised) • CROSSING THE BORDER – DRIVING • Engen Garage before the Border: • This would be the recommended place to do Third Party Insurance, Global Alliance (GA) does most of the Border paperwork for you, making the process a little quicker. The cost would be R150,00 for the insurance. At this garage you can also purchase the following required travelling accessories: • • Reflective Jacket • • Two Red Triangles • • ZA Sticker • At the Border: • The following steps are required to cross the border, there will be several people at the border that will try and assist you at a low cost, if you choose to use one please take care as they to tend to cost a bit more at the end. • 1. S.A. Border Counter 5 : Vehicle Registration— you will need your SARS forms and your vehicle ticket. • 2. Counter 6 : Passports—Please make sure that all travellers are present as they will not stamp unless this is done. • 3. Moz Border: Counter 14—Passports • 4. Counter 18: Vehicle Registration—This will cost R15,00 to get the form, the form is in English and Portuguese, once completed you must submit back at the counter to get the last stamp. • • Note: GA will provide you with contact details for a police officer and lawyer should anything happen this would be your first contact point. • Stop Points once in Mozambique: • There are several towns that you drive through but we have noted the distances for the best stops for you to make this easier. It’s a beautiful country, enjoy the scenery and have a great holiday. • 103 km past the border—Sasol Garage • 170km past the border—Engen Garage • 303 km past the border— you will get into Xai—Xai, please be wary there is a bridge that you cross, at the beginning and end of this bridge there is a ugly bump with no warning please take it slow when crossing this bridge. • 310 km past the border—BP Garage • 312km past the border—Petro port • 389km—You will come across a small town with a bad old road, please drive slowly for 14 km till • you get the to the better road. • 482km past the border—Balp Garage • 558 km past the border—BP Garage • GPS Co-ords-S23degrees, 38, 11,4” – E035degrees, 22’22.02” • Please note that you will need a 4x4 to get to the resort . • For self drive clients please contact Charles on +258 846267525.
