Ponta Torres Camp is a rustic camp in a beautiful setting on the waters of the Bay of Maputo. Standing on our beach one gazes over Inhaca Island, and 40km across the bay it is possible to see the city of Maputo. The area offers excellent deep sea, surf and fly fishing. The bird life is amazing and the waters are increasingly popular with sea kayakers. It is about a 400m walk to Hells Gate channel and the open sea. There is no beach driving at all and no quads on the beach. There is a quad bike trail (1km) through the forest to the sea at Ponta Abril. At high tide you cannot walk to the channel and back as the water is too high. We do not allow jet-skis or motorcycles. Quad bikes are welcome to use as transport between the camp and the beach, but nowhere on the beach. Please note that quad bikes are to be driven slowly, and not by any children under 16. Accommodation is self-catering in eight safari tents, ensuite, 2 beds. It is possible to put 1 more bed in the tent for fishing groups or children.
