Goibib Mountain Lodge Description
Goibib Mountain Lodge is a tranquil hideaway in the heart of the Great Karas Mountains in Southern Namibia, situated between Grunau and Keetmanshoop. Our comfortable accommodation, warm hospitality, tasty traditional fare and ideal location enable you to experience the very essence of Namibia and its people. Guests can explore the history, culture and landscape of the Karas Region by visiting the Lost City of the Kalahari (Khauxa!has), Rock Paintings, the preserved German Irrigation System, Rose Quartz Mine, Beryl Mine, and take in the breathtaking views from the Karas Mountains. Only 1 - 2 hours' drive away are Southern Namibian wonders such as Fish River Canyon, Quiver Tree Forest, Giants' Playground and Ai-Ais Hot Springs. Goibib Mountain Lodge itself offers Guests a dream holiday, but with a difference. Here, you will not be pursued by the Big Five or chased by stampeding herds . . . Instead you will have the chance to peacefully view many species of antelope and other wildlife that inhabit the veld. The peace and tranquility is enthralling and Guests quickly realise that this is pristine nature at its finest. Explore the rugged terrain on foot and embrace the solitude that attracts so many to our beautiful country, or enjoy the view during a nature drive from the comfort of our air-conditioned four wheel drive vehicles. André and Etiennne Lötter are the proud owners of this new lodge. They and management team, Niekie de Wet, with Nicolaas and Gerda Meyer, will ensure you enjoy the best of Namibian hospitality during your stay. Goibib Mountain Lodge offers an unforgettable Namibian experience. We look forward to your visit.
