Daddy Long Legs Art Hotel Description
**Summer-time Special** Come and Stay with us up until and including the 5th February 2012 and only pay ZAR885 per room per night for one of our Funky Art Hotel Rooms. Subject to availability. Staying in the Daddy Long Legs Art Hotel is like being part of an interactive art exhibition. The thirteen-room boutique backpacker is quite unlike anything else in South Africa. Not only is each room uniquely decorated by an artist, poet, photographer, designer or musician, but, they were afforded complete freedom to interpret the space as they pleased, resulting in a collection of hotel rooms that are an adventurous, humorous (and sometimes ironic) representation of Cape Town’s contemporary cultural landscape. Daddy Long Legs is all about funky, affordable accommodation, its a place where you can meet people, have fun whilst you are at it, and – get an awesome night’s rest. Staying at a Daddy Long Legs gives you the opportunity to absorb the creative spirit of Cape Town without leaving your room, so just lie back and enjoy!” Each room has its own shower and toilet and the communal space boasts a relaxed bar, balcony and frequent entertainment. No one will go hungry, with street level R-Caffe offering breakfasts and lunches and a plethora of dining options are within walking distance. Daddy Long Legs will appeal to those seeking an authentic experience of Cape Town. It is a place to meet others and it is ideally situated for exploring the character and nightlife of the city and it’s surrounds. In much the same way. Sweet dreams!!
Situated in the heart of the Cape Town City centre, Long Street is one of the oldest streets in Cape Town dating back to arrival of the first settlers in Cape Town. It can be said of Long Street that she both runs through the heart of Cape Town and through the hearts of all who frequent her cafes and clubs, buy her books and beads, her antiques and African art.
