De Wingerd Wijnland Lodge Description
In the middle of the picturesque Cape Winelands, you are most welcome at De Wingerd, bordering the vineyards on the slopes of Paarl Mountain reserve, the second-largest granite outcrop in the world. Two large air-conditioned rooms are designed for personal comfort and open onto a private terrace or garden with stunning valley views. The Vineyard cottage is a fully equipped 77m2 self-catering flat with covered terrace and the most beautiful scenery. A dream place for long term visitors. You almost can touch the vineyards! The idyllic environment, many places of interest, good wines, good food and friendly people promise you a memorable stay. Wine Estates, Golf Courses and delicious Restaurants are only minutes away.
Paarl proudly bears the title of the third-oldest town in South Africa, being one of the first regions of the Cape to be settled by the Dutch and French Hugenots over 300 years ago. Cape Dutch, Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco houses along the Mainstreet are only a part of the architectural and agricultural heritage. Even though Paarl has a country feel about it, it is only 55 km. from Cape Town and within easy reach of all the other major attractions in the Western Cape.
