Stocklands Farm Description
Stocklands Farm is an original settler home in the Midlands of Natal. Set in ten acres of gardens and paddocks, this 150 year old stone house with original yellowwood doors and ceilings offers luxurious accommodation in either en suite bedrooms with their own bathrooms, or in three self-catering cottages. All rooms have their own entrances and secure parking. You can choose from our seasonal menu and have breakfast in the dining room or on our brand new verandah, overlooking the beautifully tended garden. Stocklands Farm shares a common boundary with the Umgeni Valley Nature Reserve where there are opportunities for walks, bird watching and game viewing. Here you can see the mighty Umgeni River meandering in the valley, giraffes grazing on acacia trees, antelope of all sizes and beautiful Zebra! Maximum guests per night: 18
Located on the Midlands Meander, there are many little shops where you can buy cheese (or learn to make your own), see locally made art, try on leather shoes or mugs of local beer, shop till you drop and eat to your stomach’s content. Midmar Dam is a 10-minute drive away and offers sailing, water-skiing and boardsailing, pleasure cruises and game viewing. Golf, fly-fishing, horse riding and a treetop tour can be arranged if you are looking for a bit of adventure.
