EXPLORE Beit Bridge

On the border between Zimbabwe and South Africa, just north of the Limpopo River, lies the picturesque town of Beit Bridge.

A small town as it is; Beit Bridge has more to offer than what meets the eye.

Situated on the busiest border post in Southern Africa, it is that one destination where the hustle and bustle of traders is endless but still leaves you in unexpected awe.  With the town enjoying the hot and sunny weather for the most of the year, it is the perfect destination to enjoy a well-deserved summer vacation. Don’t forget to pack your sunscreen, a good pair of sunglasses, a sun hat for some of those scorching hot days and umbrella as it tends to rain towards the end of the year.

Beit Bridge is well known for the famous Alfred Beit Road Bridge named after Alfred Beit, the founder of the De Beers diamond mining company.  The bridge was built in 1929 and was completed in 1995 providing an enormous trade opportunity for Zimbabwe. A walk across the bridge can be enjoyed at the same time taking the pleasure of viewing the marvelous and abundant vegetation, the wild animals that roam freely in the area as well as the hippopotamus and crocodile in the Limpopo River.

For all discerning travelers alike, rest is always needed after that long and tiring adventurous day. Whether  you  are visiting the town or passing by, Beit Bridge accommodation is available in value for money yet comfortable hotels that ensure a good night’s rest.

Robberg Beach Lodge

What a beautiful Lodge, excellent service (5 star), location is one of the best in this country. We received outstanding service from a team that exceeded every need we had as a family. The breakfast is outstanding and they catered for my children's needs which included items not on the normal breakfast menu.
