Beit Bridge is well known for the famous Alfred Beit Road Bridge named after Alfred Beit, the founder of the De Beers diamond mining company.  The bridge was built in 1929 and was completed in 1995 providing an enormous trade opportunity for Zimbabwe. A walk across the bridge can be enjoyed at the same time taking the pleasure of viewing the marvelous and abundant vegetation, the wild animals that roam freely in the area as well as the hippopotamus and crocodile in the Limpopo River.
