EXPLORE Komatipoort

Komatipoort is a town that is located at the confluence of the Crocodile and Komati Rivers in Mpumalanga.

Situated a mere 8km from the Kruger National Park and just 5 km from the border to Mozambique, Komatipoort is a perfect destination from which to explore the Big-5, travel the Northern parts of South Africa and experience the wonders of one of the neighbouring countries of RSA. The Western Slopes of the Lebombo Mountains are found here and is what separates South Africa and Mozambique

With pleasant temperatures all year round, reaching near 48°C during summer and seldom lower than 24°C during winter, Komatipoort has much to offer travellers. With fresh local produce available, game viewing will never taste this good. Wildlife viewing is a must when visiting or passing this destination but so is tiger fishing in both the Crocodile and Komati Rivers. A unique experience offered includes elephant back safaris, which will leave ever-lasting wildlife viewing memories.

There is an abundance of accommodation in Komatipoort, ranging from the luxurious to standard overnight and lengthy stays. Komatipoort accommodation includes a selection of guesthouses, bed and breakfasts and self-catering units all offering the comforts of home, but set along the wild frontier with breath-taking views to wake up to each morning.

Guest Story: A perfect family beach holiday in Plettenberg Bay

Robberg Beach Lodge

What a beautiful Lodge, excellent service (5 star), location is one of the best in this country. We received outstanding service from a team that exceeded every need we had as a family. The breakfast is outstanding and they catered for my children's needs which included items not on the normal breakfast menu.
