Hardap is a region in Namibia situated almost at the center of the country.
It stretches widthwise from the Atlantic Ocean right through to the east where it forms a national border with both South Africa and Botswana. Hardap’s capital city is Mariental and it is also home to Rehoboth and the Hardap Dam. At the dam, which is just outside of Mariental is the Hardap Rresort which makes an excellent stopover for travelers to take some time to relax.
The Hardap Dam together with the resort make a great spot to take part in various water sports, picnicking and birding alike. The Hardap Region also serves as a gateway to famous tourist destination such as Luderitz and the Fish River Canyon, therefore adding a bonus itinerary to your journey. What a beautiful Lodge, excellent service (5 star), location is one of the best in this country. We received outstanding service from a team that exceeded every need we had as a family.
